We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Fitter to join our well-established and experienced team based in Chesterfield. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits.Basic hours are 8:00am until 4:30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)Established in 1983, now employing over 200 staff and with a turnover in excess of £18m, CAN (part of the RSK Group) is a specialist civil engineering contractor, delivering projects across the UK. Using specialist and rope access techniques, CAN Geotechnical provides innovative solutions to challenging ground engineering projects within all aspects of the construction and civil engineering markets.About the Plant Fitter Role:Reporting to the Plant Manager the main purpose of the role is to service and repair a large selection of plant and equipment that is used within the drilling industry. This can include a large selection of drill rigs and excavators along with numerous other pieces of plant and machinery. The role will also include the need to attend CAN worksites to service and repair CAN plant.Established in 1983, now employing over 200 staff and with a turnover in excess of £18m, CAN is a specialist civil engineering contractor, delivering projects across the UK.Key duties as our Plant Fitter will include: - Servicing and repairing CAN owned plant and vehicles efficiently and to a high standard- Carrying out all tasks in compliance with the Company’s Environmental and Health and Safety ProceduresWhat were looking for in our Plant Fitter:- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter (NVQ in Plant maintenance or similar), Apprentice trained or demonstrated time served- A valid driving licence- HGV licence may be useful but not essential- Able to work as part of a Team and alone using their own initiative- Flexible, keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, common faults and common inspection and repair methods- Knowledge of plant and vehicle electrical systems, common faults and common inspection and repair methods- Some basic fabrication skills (useful bot not essential)If you feel you have the skills and experience to become our Plant Fitter, then please click ‘Apply’ today.All candidates applying for positions with RSK Group must be eligible to work in the UK/European Economic Area.RSK Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer
