Job Description

Our client are a hugely successful ecommerce company who continues to thrive and grow their teams. Due to the development of a new ecommerce platform from the ground up, they are seeking to hire a new member to their IT team. Working in a team of 15 other like-minded developers and a knowledgeable leadership team, you will be joining a group who are relentless in the pursuit of optimisation and not afraid to start again or change direction if they go down the wrong path. Being an ecommerce business that has sold over 18 million items they are big enough to have economies of scale yet small enough to be dynamic in approach. If you are interested in joining a growing team of developers, learning deep and complex methods of coding in PHP with a determination to innovate today to achieve more tomorrow, then you would be perfect for this role. REQUIREMENTS

  • A good level of commercial experience working with PHP 7 and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with the MVC design pattern and experience with MVC frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel and/or Zend is preferable.
  • Knowledge of composer for internal and external dependencies.
  • Understanding and experience with Linux server administration.
  • Experience with source control, in particular Git and pull requests.
  • Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery.
  • Experience with using JIRA or other ticket management tools.
