Job Description

Role:Payroll AnalystLocation:SheffieldHybrid workingSalary & Package: £21k - £23k + Exceptional pension + Generous Annual LeaveType: FTC till March 2024Are you a Payroll Analyst looking to get a MAJOR Oracle based Transformation project under your beltMy client is embarking on a HUGE Oracle transformation project worth £7.5M, and they need a motivated and excited Payroll Analyst to work alongside the Finance teams.This is the perfect opportunity to cement yourself in the ever growing, competitive, Oracle market and open up a range of endless opportunities for your career.The RoleYour main role will consist of working as part of a team and be responsible for contributing towards producing four monthly payrolls. Also, ensuring all personnel are paid correctly in-line with Regulations.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for carrying out all variation inputs to employee records in the Oracle system for Payroll and Pensions for four payrolls specifically for voluntary deductions, change of bank details, student loans and tax codes.
  • Setting up new Pensioners, change of personal details. Quality checking data input into the Oracle System in relation to Pay
  • Responsible for the administration of employee mileage, allowance, and expenses
  • Responsible for the administration of Staff overtime and time-off; ensuring all overtime receives by the deadlines is checked, coded, and entered into the relevant pay period
  • Ensure all reporting to third party voluntary deductions is complete each month
  • Deal with telephone calls, emails and queries from staff and managers
  • Contribute to the Payroll Procedure and ERP Payroll Systems manuals; ensure payroll processes are applied in accordance with financial regulations and instruction
  • Take an active role in User Acceptance Testing programmes to ensure Oracle systems upgrades and legislative patches are applied correctly
YouTo be successful for this role, you will need to have a mixture of the following skills & experience:
  • Experience of using a computer-based payroll/expenses system
  • IT skills in relation to systems reporting tools, Word, Excel, and email
  • Experience in interrogating a computerised payroll system
  • Dealing with large volume data inputting
  • Previous relevant Payroll experience in a similar sized organisation
  • Willingness to work towards CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate
