Job Description

Multi Skilled TradesmanChesterfield, DerbyshirePermanent£33,489.00 per annum plus £1,000.00 van allowanceSellick Partnership Ltd are currently supporting our Derbyshire based client in the recruitment of a Multi Skilled Tradesman to join their adaptations teamDaily duties of the Multi Skilled Tradesman consist of, but are not limited to:

  • To be multi-trade proficient and able to undertake all works such as Joinery, Plumbing, Tiling, Plastering with the only exceptions being Gas and Electrical works to provide minimal need for calling upon alternative trades to attend site
  • Installing wet rooms for disabled showers, stair-lifts, wheelchair access ramps and handrails
  • To carry out multi trade works on vulnerable service users properties
  • To provide support to vulnerable tenants and their wider family whilst work is conducted on the property
  • To ensure any medical needs are considered whilst work is undertaken, and the schedule of work does not leave the tenant(s) without facilities
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the attendance of a Gas Plumber or Electrician if required as part of the works
The Successful Multi Skilled Operative will possess:
  • Experience in working within social housing or construction (Desired)
  • NVQ or City and Guilds in relevant trade
  • Full UK Drivers License and access to own vehicle
  • A understanding and knowledge of health and safety when working on site
