Job Description

Elevation have the pleasure of working with a bespoke manufacturing client based in the Chesterfield area. This leading manufacturing company, are looking for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their well established team!Salary: £38,000Location: ChesterfieldHours: Days and afters on rotation- early finish on the Friday afternoonA few of the many benefits:

Duties of an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
  • Working on motors, pumps, hydraulic presses, pipes, pneumatics, gear boxes, compressors
  • Dealing with breakdowns on a daily basis
  • Ensure equipment is operating correctly to minimise machinery downtime
  • Some basic electrical duties will be required
  • Assist with machine installations
  • Providing support for cell leaders and production staff
  • Attending to hazards sotted by the team in a timely manner
  • PPM’s will be carried out every week
  • General site maintenance
Desired experience:
  • You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained)
  • It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
  • Ideally have 3 years experience within in a Mechanical maintenance engineer position recently
  • Must have experience with pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipes gear boxes at a minimum
  • Must have basic electrical knowledge but no qualification is needed
  • Must have worked within a manufacturing maintenance background previously- not fully automated due to the nature of the machinery
  • Must have the good work ethic, someone who can work independently and within a team environment
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Would be ideal to have PLC fault finding experience but not essential
