To deliver 3D and 2D technical documentation following Design Engineering Office procedures and drafting standards. Ensuring that all the information on the drawings is correct giving consideration to the manufacturing, installation and servicing processes.Client DetailsOur client is a world leading design and manufacturer of specialist capital equipment.DescriptionAn excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to further their career. You will facilitate production of the companys product range by ensuring engineering drawings provided follow applicable standards and accurately reflect the design intentand requirements; Improve and expand the companys product range increasing performance, reliability and reduced cost through redesign; Support technical team; Devise custom adaptations; and facilitate design/engineering projects.You will also ensure the bill of materials on drawings is accurate; Generate and rectify additional client-friendly drawings for use in the company manuals; Review and rectify products upon request; Ensure any changes to Company products currently on themarket are adequately tracked and documented; Perform engineering analysis during the design Lead sourcing effort and perform prototype testing.Finally, you will provide support and guidance to other members of the Design Engineering Office; Visit agents, customer sites and suppliers to provide support, guidance and troubleshooting; Liaise with the in-house manufacturing team; and other ad hoc duties.ProfileThe successful candidate will have a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years industry experience. You must be a competent user of SolidWorks both 3D and 2D and have knowledge of metal and non-metal parts design for manufacture.Job OfferThe candidate will receive a salary of £25k-30k (DOE), on site parking, work place pension, 25 days holidays, health care plan (after probation)
