As this a mobile role, we are happy for applicants to be based from one of our regional offices in either Chesterfield,Wakefield or Nottingham.The RoleAre you an L&D professional with experience of delivering, creating and developing engaging training content Are you a strong relationship builder, a natural coach, an individual passionate about supporting colleague developmentIf the answer is yes, then look no further your next career could be with us!As our Learning & Development Trainer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering learning solutions across our business, focusing on customer service and sales excellence initially, by driving improvements in capability through the developmentand implementation of training programmes and processes which support the achievement of the overall people plan and customer experience.This is a mobile role and will involve travel to our regional offices and developments throughout our regions therefore, a full UK driving licence will be required. Your base location will be our Group head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.Key duties and requirementsYou will also be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Planning, designing, coordinating and delivering all aspects of functional training and content for our customer service and sales teams, in accordance with business needs and legislation.
  • Providing support with our ongoing training and apprenticeship programmes including maintaining the CITB grants and Apprenticeship levy.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate development programmes to enhance capability, upskill and coach for key roles within the business, across all levels.
  • Regularly reviewing training programmes and content.
  • Utilising technology such as our internal e-learning platform in order to maximise user learning and also provide blended sessions where required.
  • Carryout post training evaluations with delegates and line managers to ensure training is embedded.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance and reporting on all training data and information.
  • Working proactively with internal departments and our leadership team to ensure effective cross team collaboration and communication.
Who are we looking forTo be successful as our Learning & Development Trainer, you will hold previous experience within in similar role, ideally for a housebuilder or construction company.You will also possess a detailed understanding of learning and development best practice and techniques.To be considered for the role you must also;
  • Possess excellent presentation and delivery skills.
  • Experience of training design including face to face delivery, virtual delivery, and use of other media such as e-learning platforms.
  • Be comfortable in presenting to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Possess a good understanding of the Apprenticeship levy, NVQ frameworks and other external training resources available to support colleague and business development needs.
  • Showcase proficiency in Microsoft packages, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power point and Project.
  • Be organised and structured with an eye for detail.
  • Convey a flexible attitude to changing business requirements.
