Job Description

The Junior Product Developer will work with the Product Developer and will take the garment from the SMS concept to the bulk shipment stage including AQL checks at the warehouse.Client DetailsA great opportunity for a Junior Product Developer - to join a contemporary & active apparel business in the Sheffield area. They are a Ecommerce & Wholesale company that have seen strong growth of the past 3 years. With offices in SouthYorkshire, London and LA. Due to this they are looking for a Junior Product Developer to join the product team.Description

  • Maintain and manage the critical path process, ensuring all details are kept up to date and feedback on changes are communicated to the team.
  • Liaise directly with the suppliers/factories.
  • Build strong relationships and communication within other business departments.
  • Assist fit and construction approval on allocated ranges throughout all stages of the Bulk Production process.
  • Maintain test reports.
  • Arrange and assist fit sessions with the relevant team members, design and wider areas of the business.
  • Responsible for the filing of all fabric/ lab dip/ trim submissions.
  • Responsible for returns information being collated back into the Development and Production team from other departments within the business.
  • Attend weekly team meetings.
  • A number of housekeeping elements, including sample tracking, updating department documents, DHL.
  • Adhoc business needs.
Profile
  • 6 months plus experience with a background in product development and or/ as a garment technologist in a similar role within the fashion industry preferably for a Brand.
  • In-depth knowledge of apparel garment construction and the development process.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capacity to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
  • Team Player
  • Highly organised, methodical and process-driven.
  • Passion for delivering consistently high standards in all projects executed.
  • Must have experience dealing with offshore suppliers/manufacturers and a solid understanding of a critical path.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
