Job Description

IT Support Technician - Chesterfield - Hardware, Cisco, cablingGreat opportunity to join a global IT Support function in a newly created role in their Chesterfield office. Varied IT Support within a thriving manufacturing company.Client DetailsThe client are a multi-national manufacturing firm with sites across the UK, Ireland and other locations. This role is based in Chesterfield and will provide full IT support to operational and commercial staff within the UK, including remotely supporting other sites.DescriptionIT Support Technician - Chesterfield - Hardware, Cisco, cabling

  • To assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon
  • To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible
  • To install and configure new IT equipment
  • To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
  • Resolving any issues with the telephone system
  • Cisco UCCX call centre platform
  • Supporting hardware for field based sales reps (laptop, mobiles and printers)
  • To resolve incidents with printers, scanners, copiers, laptops and PCs
  • Security systems including cameras and fire systems
  • Maintaining / adding to site cabling infrastructure
  • Supporting extrusion line and rotor moulding computer systems
  • Mobile iron for remote logins
  • Cisco VPN
  • Creating new user accounts
    • ProfileThe successful candidate will be a well-rounded IT Support professional, who is able to work independently. You will have demonstrable experience with the following:
  • 1st line support
  • Hardware support - laptops, printers, mobile devices etc
  • Setting up new users, guest users, password administration etc
  • Cisco VPN and Cisco UCCX platform
  • Maintaining and adding cabling for on-site infrastructure
  • Good customer service ethos and strong communication skills
