Job Description

Electro-Mechanical Site Technician - ChesterfieldA Global leading manufacturer of valves are looking for a well-rounded Electrical bias Engineer commutable to Chesterfield. You will carry out maintenance activities to ensure plant, machinery, and facilities across the site are readily available and toassist in the reduction of plant downtime and continuous improvementThe Role:

  • To carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance to the required standard
  • Respond to breakdowns by carrying out Reactive Maintenance when required
  • To be able to coordinate and cooperate with production supervision on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment
  • Interact and respond to all aspects of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement projects, supporting cost reduction and efficiency
  • Work to agreed shift patterns given the appropriate notice period. (Currently 3 shift pattern)
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience of Electrical, Electronics + PLCs
  • Experience of Machinery Fault Finding and repairs
  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Educated to either City and Guilds, NVQ3, ONC and/or equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Electrical + Electronic engineering drawing interpretation ability
Desirable Skills:
  • PAT testing
  • Basic Pneumatics
  • Basic Bench and Assembly Fitting
  • Previous Manufacturing experience
Package:
  • Salary: £35,000+
  • Pension 5% contribution
  • 25 days holiday rising per year
