POSITION: Project ManagerRESPONSIBLE TO: Lead Project ManagerRESPONSIBLE FOR: Site Manager/Forman and all Trades/M&E StaffEnsuring all contracts are completed on time, to a high standard and each project ismaximised on returnsJOB PROFILEDuties and responsibilities of the position will include but not limited to the following;1. To receive and review drawings and specifications from client or main contractor2. To resolve discrepancies with the client3. To ensure work is carried out to a high standard4. To ensure each contract is maximised on returns5. To maintain good working relationships with clients and main contractors6. To complete company paperwork clearly and legibly7. To record variations to contract and provide information to QS8. To assist interims and final account payments9. Complete monthly cost to complete (WIP) on all live projects every month10. Review all tender information on handover on each project from the Estimating Team11. Read, understand and implement the Company Health and Safety Policy and QA at all timesPERSON PROFILEEDUCATION: GCSE grades C or higher in English and MathematicsQUALIFICATIONSNVQ Level 1 in Mechanical or Electronic InstallationBe certified to grading as laid down by the Joint Industry Board for electriciansPREVIOUSEXPERIENCE* Minimum 3 years relevant experience in electrical or mechanical installations* Demonstrated competence in the use of standard commercial communications and word/date processing equipment and applicationsPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and statutory bodies* Accuracy and precision in preparation of documents* Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure* To hold a full UK Driving LicenseREQUIRED TRAININGFocal Point IT Skills Management SkillsTime Management People Management CommunicationNegotiation Word Intermediate Excel IntermediateMicrosoft Project Client Information Channels Asbestos AwarenessManual Handling Commercial Awareness Project ManagementSMSTS Mechanical/Electrical AwarenessCORE COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS1.
