Job Description

Electrical Design EngineerChesterfield - £35,000 - £40,000Chase and Holland are proud to be supporting a well-established engineering business based in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will document and maintain electrical drawings and build 3D Cad models of finalised assembled products. The business boasts a worldwide client base and have a strong reputation in their industry and for the successful candidate there will be support and development given to ensure youre successful.In Return Youll Receive:

Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Producing new electrical designs/solutions and new control philosophies based on relay (conventional logic) and PLC systems
  • Creation of electrical one line, schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD
  • Creating 3D CAD models, assemblies and producing 2D drawings using PTC Creo and AutoCAD
  • Maintaining existing product linesassisting in updating and improving drawings and models using official EAN procedures
  • Creating, developing and maintaining product instruction and operating manuals along with other product literature
  • Supporting and assisting in producing contract documentation and working closely with the engineering team to deliver large projects
  • Support in developing quality and work procedures for the workshop and factory
  • Participating in client and project meetings
  • Managing BOMs within our MRP system
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm (Monday to Thursday) - 8:30am to 12:30pm (Friday)Required Skills & Experience:
  • HND/HNC in electrical engineering
  • 5 years experience minimum designing control systems using relays and PLCs
  • Knowledge of current wiring regulations and standards
  • High level of competence using 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD
  • Basic Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo
  • Strong numerical and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility for occasional overseas travel
