Job Description

Commercial Project Engineer required. Our client is a leading automotive mobility solutions provider that supports the road to Net Zero and the transition to electric vehicles through the provision of domestic and commercial EV charging installation andfleet services. With 10 years experience in EV Charging, with operations nationwide, theyre expanding the business in a fast-growing market to deliver for our rapidly growing customer base.Successful candidates will have prior experience in a previous role within the EV sector. Candidates will also manage several multi-disciplined teams on site as well as maintaining project documentation such as time schedules, budgets, progress reports,risk registers and gantt charts.Commercial Project Engineer Position Overview

  • Delivering multiple projects simultaneously to agreed scope, schedule, budget and to the highest quality
  • Writing project initiation documents
  • Maintaining project register, logs and associated documentation
  • Subcontractor management
  • Procurement of materials
  • Writing subcontractor work packages, risk assessments and response planning
  • Updating the project dashboard and reporting to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Drafting, reviewing and approving site plans and designs
  • Analysing electrical requirements and mapping solutions
  • Liaising with DNOs
  • Management of electrical safety standards, processes and procedures
  • Ensure all electrical installation design and requirements comply with relevant electrical and
  • EV Charge Point (EVCP) regulations and codes of practice
  • Ensure relevant civil works comply with legislation (H&S, HERS, APEA).
  • Perform site surveys and interpret site plans
  • Creation of test certification and hand-over documentation
  • Support stakeholders and clients with permit and licence applications
  • Support sales with concept design to secure future projects
  • Bid team support and input into project tenders
  • Getting your tools out and work boots on to support installations
Commercial Project Engineer Position Requirements
  • PRINCE2, APM or equivalent project management certification (Not essential)
  • CSCS, SMSTS card holders would be advantageous
  • 3 Years experience in electrical installation and experience of installing EVCPs
  • Relevant project management experience in the EV sector
  • A relevant electrical or project management background (with demonstrable understanding of electrical principles).
Commercial Project Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary: £33,780 to £39,810
  • Pension
  • Healthcare/life insurance
  • Holiday: 25 days + 8BH
  • Working hours: 45 hours
