Job Description

Temporary Caretaker - Part-Time (25 hours/week)Location: North Chesterfield Suburb (Easily accessible from Chesterfield, South Sheffield, and parts of Rotherham)Working Hours: 7:00 am - 9:30 am and 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Monday to Friday)Duration: Temporary, Start ASAPResponsibilities:We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our team as a Temporary Caretaker for a small primary school in a north Chesterfield suburb. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environmentwithin the school premises.Key Duties:

  1. Facilities Management: Oversee the general maintenance and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds.
  2. Security: Ensure the security and safety of the premises, reporting any issues promptly.
  3. Minor Repairs: Conduct minor repairs and liaise with contractors for larger maintenance tasks.
  4. Health and Safety: Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations within the school premises.
  5. Flexible Schedule: Work a flexible schedule of 25 hours per week, split between morning and afternoon shifts.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a facilities manager, caretaker, or in a similar role.
  • Ability to handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
