Job Description

Chesterfield - Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger focus.We are working with a long standing, well-established, civil engineering company based out of Chesterfield who are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant. This role is part time with 22.5 hours available - they can be flexible with working pattern - i.e.5 shorter days or 3 longer days.Primarily you will processing all purchase invoices and payments, whilst liaising with supplies about any queries and assisting with month end tasks where needed.Key duties as Accounts Assistant include:

  • Matching supplier invoices to Purchase Orders (using Eque2).
  • Raising Invoices with suppliers and offering assistance with queries and concerns.
  • Approving Invoices prior to payment.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Filing invoices and delivery notes.
  • You will be required to make payments against invoices in line with suppliers terms.
  • Calculate and submit VAT returns
  • Helping with month end tasks.
Interested To be successful for this role, you will need the following:
  • Experience, and references, from a Purchase Ledger role (or similar)
  • Proficient IT skills, incl. Microsoft office
  • Excellent communication
