Job Description

We are looking for a QA Assistant to join our team in Chepstow, helping ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of ambient, chilled and specialty food products.QA AssistantChepstow, NP16 6UD

  • Full Time, Permanent
  • £24,356.80 or £11.71 p/h for day shift
  • 5 out of 7 shift pattern
Please note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKOliver Kay has been established for over 30 years, supplying fresh ingredients each day, directly to chefs and professional kitchens. Oliver Kay continues to sit within Bidfresh, sister company to Bidfood, offering financial security and reassurance to customersand colleagues.This is an exciting time for us where we are opening a brand new site based in Chepstow to help support the growing demands within our other sites across the country. Everyone will be trained in advance to a high standard to make sure you all hit the groundrunning for our go live date.About The RoleWorking as part of the QA Team, you will:
  • Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of ambient, chilled and specialty products to feed the flow of business operations while providing Service Excellence to internal and external customers.
  • Check fresh produce for size, weight and quality on incoming deliveries.
What Youll Be Doing
  • As a key member of the onsite QA team, you will ensure incoming products are quality checked prior to receipt and acceptance of goods.
  • You will be a proactive member of the team that ensures food safety compliance.
  • Highlight any issues to the onsite QA management team
About You
  • Clear, precise and confident communication skills.
  • Thorough, with a good attention to detail, time management and work prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently as necessary.
  • This role will require you to spend a large part of your day in a refrigerated environment.
Experience:Working with fresh produce 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:Food safety qualifications (preferred)Working HoursThis role is advertised a 5 out of 7 shift pattern, with daytime shift of 06:00-14:30.However, candidates will need to have a level of flexibility due to the nature of our work.Salary £24,356.80 or £11.71 per hour for day shift.Benefits
