Job Description

Purchaser / Buyer Based in Devauden: Commutable from: Earlswood, Itton, Tintern, Newport£24,000-£32,000 + Great Holiday + Training + Progression + Company EventsAre you a Purchaser with a relative engineering background looking to join a world leading manufacturer and developer of automotive productsOn offer is an excellent opportunity to join a National Industry Leader in specialist automotive products for a range of Blue chip clients in multiple industry sectors.The company is going through a phase of expansion with five facilities across the UK, boasting over 170+ employees all offering a world class service, making this a great time to join.This role would suit a purchaser with both purchase acquisition and cost analysis experience, with a sound understanding of ERP systems and MS office.The Role:

  • To assist in all areas and activities relating to Supplier Engagement and Relations for the tendering and ordering of consumed goods to meet the businesses needs.
  • The position is a 50/50 split between purchasing acquisition and cost analysis.
  • Raising of Purchase Orders, to align costs and timings and the monitoring of supply chains to maintain supply and overcome barriers to supply.
  • Review of costs to obtain savings, evaluating orders and volumes to find opportunities whilst analysing existing supply chains to discover cost saving openings through re-sourcing elsewhere.
The Person:
  • Previous experience of using ERP systems for raising orders
  • Previous experience of cost analysis and budget management
  • Previous experience of working within a purchasing role (can be an assistant looking to move up into a more senior role).
