This is a fantastic opportunity to join a young, fast-growing business with a footprint internationally, as their new Accountant.I am partnered exclusively with my client the Financial Director, someone I have worked with before on multiple occasions throughout his and my career history. This FD leads by example, is articulate andwill be a great coach and mentor for the lucky person who secures this position.As an Accountant, in this newly created position, you will help to continue pushing the company forward and you will be directly joining a team of 5 within a much larger group.Some responsibilities in which you, as their new Accountant will have to complete as an Accountant include: Processing purchase ledger invoices, supported by a finance assistant Supervising and developing a Finance Apprentice Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations Processing and maintaining the cashbook and purchase ledger Processing the payroll and supplier payments and controlling bank entries Controlling sales ledger and lead credit control process, chasing customers as applicable Supporting and maintaining interdepartmental relationships, customer and supplier relationships Controlling the quality of accounting information in all business systems- Being highly IT competent and the ability to find your way around systems and the keyboard quickly is necessary- If you have experience using SAGE 200 this will be an added bonus- Being able to communicate well with your team and externally with customers is very important- Previous supervisory experience would be helpful but not essential- Understanding credit decisions and being comfortable talking about stock and purchase orders is required - Being a hands on type of individual that works well within a team is highly desirableThe position is office based Monday - Thursday and everyone works remotely on Fridays. You will be offered a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 p/a dependent on experience you can bring to the role and ultimately the company. Additionally, you will receive a bonus on top of the salary.
