As a Maths Tutor, you will work closely with students to enhance their mathematical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in tackling complex mathematical concepts.Our school is a highly regarded educational institution located in the prestigious neighbourhood of Chelsea, London. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional learning environment where students are encouraged to excel academically,think critically, and develop a deep understanding of mathematics. With a commitment to fostering mathematical fluency and analytical thinking, we aim to empower our students with the skills necessary for success in their academic and professional endeavours.Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions to students in mathematics.
  • Assess students current mathematical abilities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies to address individual learning needs and goals.
  • Assist students with understanding mathematical concepts, problem-solving techniques, and mathematical reasoning.
  • Support students in completing homework assignments, preparing for exams, and improving their overall mathematical proficiency.
  • Utilize various teaching resources, tools, and technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, explore mathematical ideas, and develop a growth mindset.
  • Monitor students progress, provide constructive feedback, and track their development over time.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians to share progress updates and discuss strategies for further improvement.
  • Stay informed about current educational practices and advancements in mathematics to enhance the tutoring experience
Requirements:
  • A strong background in mathematics, with expertise in secondary-level maths.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences, or a related field is highly desirable, but relevant experience and qualifications will also be considered.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience, particularly in mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire students with enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Patience and adaptability to cater to the individual learning needs of students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver effective lessons.
