Job Description

Are you an experienced utilities Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge with a well established forward thinking company Looking for a company that can offer you excellent career growth potential This could be the role for for you!We are currently working in partnership with a leading multi-utility company with locations and contracts nationwide. They are currently looking to strengthen the commercial team with a hands-on Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee a wide range of utilityprojects.Salary to £70k | Excellent Bonus | Company Car or Allowance | Stakeholder Pension | Healthcare | Life Assurance | 26 Days Holiday + Bank HolidaysKey Essentials:* Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial aspects of high volume utility projects, working off a schedule of rates* Oversee a team of Assistant QSs and Commercial Administrators* Preparation and submission of CVRs; ensuring timely preparation and agreement of changes to avoid WIP and maximising cash-flow ensuring payments are received within allocated time-scales* Overseeing and ensuring that any project variations are captured* Produce cash-flow forecasts and keep updated and report on variances* Help ensure business targets are exceeded and that problems are identified and resolved at an early stage* Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised* You will be required to manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts* It will be your responsibility to ensure that accurate records are kept and full entitlement under the contract is achievedRequirements:* Minimum of 10 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on utility projects* You should ideally be professionally qualified in Civil Engineering / QS or hold relevant experience* You should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Packages#managingqs #qs #quantitysurveyor #commercialmanager #nec #telecom #power #gas #water #civils #underground #excavation #splice #joint #nrswa #streetwork #commercial #forecast #cvr #cmar #ewn #compensationevents #variationsBy applying for this position, you are agreeing for CVL:LDN to hold and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
