Job Description

A varied and stimulating role of Senior Electronics Engineer which focuses on exciting next generation product development activities in an international business which designs and manufactures electro mechanical products for the globally expanding life science/healthcare sectors.The business is market leader in the UK, number 3 worldwide, and prides itself in state of the art technology and manufacturing systems, with heavy investment in robotics.Responsibilities and key tasks will include:

  • New product development, assisting from initial requirement specification agreement, resource and key milestone planning agreement, hands-on feasibility proving and development through Alpha and Beta proving units, product certification, production build documentation and support to product release.
  • Hands-on electronics/firmware design, development and project management on new product development and on existing product upgrade projects.
  • Provide engineering support to both internal and external departments and agencies, including essential support to the shop floor to maintain production output; technical support to Materials Management and Q/A, to enable the provision of fit-for-purpose materials to support both the production build schedule and the new product release and support to maintain the technical database essential for the effective operation of the company’s business software and systems.
  • Infusing a spirit of innovation and urgency to push the boundaries and deliver new higher performance product, meeting commitments on time, cost and specification.
    • We seek applications for the role of Senior Electronics Engineer from Electrical / Electronics Engineering Degree (or equivalent) Qualified candidates who are ideally experienced in temperature and power control systems. Applicants must be CAD literate and will have used CAD design tools to carry out the design of new control circuitry, preferably involving the design and layout of analogue and digital circuitry. You should also have microprocessor experience.Additionally you should be able to demonstrate effective project management and leadership skills and have a sound technical background including experience in signal processing and microprocessor controlled systems. You should have experience of working in a formalized phase-gate product development process and according to ISO 9001 design controls and be able to demonstrate success in an international company environment.
