Job Description

CHP are an award winning, people focused organisation based in Chelmsford, Essex, and we are hiring. We have been transforming lives by creating great homes for people unable to rent or buy privately since March 2002 and we aim to build a home a day -365 new homes per year.We are looking for a Generalist Hr Advisor to join the team on a part-time basis working 30 hours per week. This can either be 4 full days (must include Wednesdays and Fridays but flexible on the other two) or can be reduced hours over5 days.There couldnt be a more exciting time to join CHP as we are currently experiencing three times the growth of the industry average. We regularly survey our employees and ask each other for feedback so that we continually improve and build trust.RequirementsWhatyoull be doingTo support and coordinate a wide variety of HR activities, providing guidance and advice to the business on performance management, employee relations, policy/procedure interpretation, organisational design, pay and benefits, data analyticsand recognition.Employee Relations (ER) Supporting managers on all areas of ER and performance management, ensuring fairness and consistency across teams and directorates Monitor and support on long and short-term absence, liaising with Occupational Healthas appropriate; Advising managers on performance management issues and development plans in collaboration with the learning and development team HR System and Data Analytics To ensure the HR System remains accurate with payroll-related changes Ensure compliancewith HR data, administration and HR systems; analyse data and produce reports Run monthly reports linked to business health and performance, identifying trends to the Head of HR Reward and Recognition Support the HRBPs with the bi-annual salary benchmarkingexercises To regularly review our reward, recognition and benefits schemes and make proposals for improvements to the Head of HR. EngagementTo support the HR and L&D Business Partners in tracking employee engagement with regular surveying;What we are lookingforQualifications Qualified or working towards CIPD level 3 or 5 or relevant experience of an HR Advisor role; Membership of CIPD. Experience, knowledge and skills Experience of working in an HR environment, providing advice and support on a range of key activitiesincluding capability and absence management; Sound knowledge of HR policy, best practice and employment legislation; Experience of working with HR systems and extracting and analysing data Experience in researching/writing reports, statistics and data analysis.Ability to engage effectively with managers and employees at all levels of the organisation, as well as external stakeholders; Values and Personal Competencies Committed to CHPs mission and values as well as diversity, equity and inclusion; Discreet; ableto maintain confidentiality at all times.
