The ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience in Housing Standards/Private Sector Housing enforcement with the ability to respond to customer service requests concerning property condition, assessing risk, identifying solutions, serving legal noticeswhere necessary and arranging works in default.The successful candidate will be required to inspect houses in Multiple Occupation, assessing compliance with legal and local requirements, determining applications for Mandatory Licences, drafting and issuing all licence-related paperwork.Knowledge and experience of processing mandatory disabled facilities grants (DFGs) would be an advantage, as would experience in caravan site licensing. For the right candidate, the work of existing team members can be varied to accommodate them within theteam. Knowledge of Uniform and the Civica case and document management systems respectively would also be an advantage.The ideal candidate would be a qualified Environmental Health Officer - Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health Housing Standards Officer - HNC Construction or other equivalent building related qualification in surveying, architecture or environmentalhealth.Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
