Job Description

Finance Assistant – VR/21769Essex based charity are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their busy but bubbly team in Chelmsford. This amazing non-profit charity are supported by Essex County Council as well as respected local business and help local people in need.The role of Finance Assistant is currently working remotely with full office set up therefore you must be self-motivated, innovative and have a solution focused attitude.The Finance Assistant will be working alongside the Finance Officer where in time there will be opportunity to progress within the company.The Role of Finance Assistant:

  • Post all bank transactions to SAGE
  • Receipt of all supplier invoices ensuring correct authorisation and post to SAGE
  • Reconciliation of monthly Barclaycard receipts and post to SAGE
  • Reconciliation of monthly Credit Card transactions and post to SAGE
  • Monthly Reconciliation of Petty Cash
  • Calculate Monthly Rental and Service Charge Income
  • Create correspondence on service charge income levels.
  • Banking of cash and cheques.
  • Checking and reconciling accounts in conjunction with the Finance Officer
  • Monthly reconciliation of Donation/Fundraising Online Platforms and CRM
  • Produce regular reports of monthly donations received from all sources
  • Produce data reports for fundraising & marketing e-blasts & mailings
  • Compile and send thank you communications to donors
  • Ensure online fundraising platforms kept up to date
  • Skills Needed:
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • DBS Checked (or willing to have one)
  • Good knowledge of book-keeping
  • Ability to accurately record data and formulate reports
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of financial regulations
  • Knowledge of SAGE Accounts
  • CRM software
  • Understanding of safe-guarding procedures
  • In Return:
