New Start Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a client. We are searching for someone confident to complete surgeries, OOH and obstetrical work in Chelmsford, Essex.Come and join a friendly and passionate team of six farm vets and two administrative assistants. The office is idylically situated with fields behind for exercising the office dogs. You are entitled to a company car as the majority of the work is covered over a large part of East Anglia. There is a lot of time spent on the road but this also means you have the car for private use too.The practice won a major Well being Award. They are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of colleagues; and promote flexibility, support, mentoring and teamwork.If you are looking for a varied job this is the one for you - you would see everything from commercial dairy, beef, sheep, pigs, poultry and camelids, to smaller-scale, hobby farming, multi-species open farms and pet farm animals.They perform their own TB testing (LRA), product and animal export work, and where possible, are supportive of further education certificates.The practice performs routine fertility work, health planning and plenty of individual animal work, with a high surgical caseload. If you are interested in teaching and veterinary education, you may be pleased to know they also take on farm rotation students from a near by University.Most of the year is on a 1:5 rota, but theydo double-up on weekends from January through May to cater for a busy calving and lambing season. A weekend on call entitles you to a day in lieu, and second on call a half day.Essex is a hub for watersports and biking with a fast access to London, and it’s not far from the stunning Suffolk Coast for a bit of time out. Essex and Chelmsford combined has an assortment of shops bars and country pubs. It has just about everything for a great work life balance.
