Job Description

Our client based in Chelmsford is looking for a qualified (18th Edition) Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering team as an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will be electrically biased, a proactiveand flexible team player with excellent communication skills.This role involves 80% Electrical work and 20% Electro / Mechanical workDuties for the Electrical / Mechanical Engineer role:-

  • Ensuring that the in-house plant and machinery is kept maintained and repaired
  • Identify and rectify machinery faults
  • Provide electro/mechanical support for direct production equipment and services including plant ancillaries
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Procure spare parts
  • Liaise with / work with sub-contractors / Service Engineers
  • Complete project work in conjunction with the Team Leader and Safety Co-ordinator
  • Assist with plant upgrades and installations
  • General maintenance at the Chelmsford site i.e. painting, fixing, putting up signs etc.
  • Full training is provided on the machinery you will be maintaining and fixing.
Essential requirements for the Electrical / Mechanical Engineer role:-
  • Experienced Electrician who is qualified to 18th Edition standard
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Proactive team player with a flexible approach and can do attitude
  • Experience of PLC and Sensors is preferred.
Our client is offering a competitive salary, paid over-time, on-going training and development, on-site car parking, pension, staff discount scheme and more.The working hours for this role are 6:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 10:00pm Monday to Friday on a rotating weekly shift pattern.
