An Electrical Engineer is sought to join the engineering team of a successful fmcg manufacturing business, in which you will maintain and repair manufacturing plant and machinery.Rotating week about shift pattern of 6-2/2-10 Monday to Friday with overtime premium of 1.5 times Monday to Saturday and 2 times Sunday.The duties of the Electrical Engineer will include:Compliance with the company’s Health and Safety requirements.Identification and recovery of fault situations on machinery.Provision of both electrical and mechanical support to both direct production equipment and services and indirect plant ancillaries.Raising and tracking requests for quotations and purchase orders for spares/external sub-contractors and services in line with department processes.Being proactive in preventative maintenance and also assisting the machine crews in completing preventative maintenance schedules.Assisting with machine upgrades and installations.Providing support for H&S steering committee and specific projects.You will have undergone formal Electrical training and have a working knowledge of mechanical disciplines and have proven problem solving and fault finding skills with the ability to read both electrical and mechanical drawings. General industrial maintenance experience is essential on production machinery.You should have knowledge of machine control systems and have worked with circuits for 415 to 24v DC power and control. Knowledge of DC/AC Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers and Invertors is essential.Plant knowledge should include compressors/vacuum pumps/pneumatics.We seek good communication skills for interaction with machine crews and management together with attention to detail, a positive persona and an ability to prioritise. A commitment to safe working practices at all times is essential.Salary in range of £35000-£45000 pa including shift premium, overtime rates as above, matched contributions of up to 6% of salary and 25 days holiday plus statutory days.
