Class 2 Driver,Location:Chelsmford, EssexStarting: A.S.A.P.Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 4.30 pmDistributor of thermoplastic sheet£30-32k (neg) Basic, discretional bonus based on group, branch and individual performance, plus a monthly bonus of £100 for no incidentsExperienced multi-drop delivery driver holding a CPC and clean driving licence, Class 2 driver (18 te LGV). You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations. You will have a professional approach, excellent communication skills,be numerate with good attention to detail.We are looking for energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to prioritise. You will operate as a multidrop driver to drive their 3.5 tonne van but will need a Class 2 Licence to cover holidays for their otherdrivers. As part of its expansion the company is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for their distribution centre in Chelmsford; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parking and numerousother benefits.THE ROLEMultidrop (around 10 to 15 drops per day)Covering Chelmsford, London and surrounding areasKey responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:·Provide an "on time and in good condition" delivery service.·Ensure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and safely and that loads are secured without causing any damage.·Be a good representative of the company when delivering goods presenting a courteous and pleasant manner at all times.·Report any faults or accidents to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and complete the necessary documentation in a timely manner.·Assist with the picking of goods in preparation for loading.·Assist with the correct unloading, checking and storage of stock.·Report all stock discrepancies, damages and/or stock picking errors to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.·Attend regular Branch Staff meetings.·Carry out all daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks.·Correctly operate the Tachograph system.·Perform regular cleaning of vehicles ensuring that vehicles are well presented.·Carry out other duties as requested by the Warehouse and Distribution Manager.·Observe all aspects of Health and Safety within the sales and warehouse environmentTHE CANDIDATE:Class 2 Driver, ideally with 2 years plus experience although candidates with 12 months experience will also be considered.The successful candidate will be an experienced Class 2 multi-drop delivery driver holding a CPC and clean driving licence, .You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations.You will have a professional approach, excellent communicationskills, be numerate with good attention to detail. We are looking for energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to prioritise.
