ResponsibilitiesAssistant Operations Manager We’re hiring!We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Operations Manager to join Aon Underwriting Managers based in Chelmsford.The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to manage contractual and regulatory monitoring and reporting of the AUM Business operational objectives within established procedures and guidelines. Aons recruitment and selection policy ensures the best possible skill mix of colleagues and the highest quality candidates are appointed using objective job-related criteria.About the Role As an Assistant Operations Manager some of your key responsibilities will involve;Support the Operations Manager to ensure correct day to day operational activities and controls are being adhered to within AUM and escalate any non-compliance or areas of concern to the Operations Manager and/or Head of Operations.Support monitoring and reporting of complaints management to ensure AUM adhere to Aon’s Complaints policy and/or Lloyds Complaints policy and any insurer’s contractual requirements.Support monitoring and reporting of Aon University’s compulsory module completion to ensure individuals and the business unit remain compliant.Training and Competence - monitor and ensure line managers sign off new staff as competent within their individual AUM teams and Lloyds competency requirements where applicable. To include other monitoring activities such as mentor/buddy training documentation sign off and ensure continuous professional development plans (CPD) are in place and up to date.Support and ensure all Conflicts of Interests (COI), Breaches and E&O’s matters are managed and reported in accordance with Aon’s governance processes and policies, identifying any areas for review and process improvements.Support management and reporting of GPI limits, all breaches must be reported to the relevant Underwriting Manager to ensure notification to the insurer.Support management and completion of Binder Management SharePoint activities – monthly Binder Sign off, DA Control Checklists, monthly review of central complaints reporting and external insurer audit reporting and determine the remedial actions of any significant matters raised in audit and assurance work.Day to day responsibility for general office management tasks.Liaise with operational counterparts within Aon and other critical outsource partners.Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.About you Your skills and qualifications will ideally include;Proven experience of Operations within Insurance.Technical knowledge of Lloyd’s/London Market and non-Lloyd’s processes.Self-motivated, reliable and resourceful.Experience of delivery of new initiatives/projects.Familiar with electronic trading via PPL.Experience working across teams including offshore.Our Colleague ExperienceEvery day, our colleagues make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.
