Job Description

Application Support AnalystTeam - DevOps and Claims OperationsLocation - ChelmsfordOverviewDutiesProviding operational support and ensuring delivery of a consistent service to our customers. Liaising with third party vendors and internal stakeholders as necessary to fulfil service requests, resolve incidents and manage problem resolution / small & medium change requests through to delivery.Facilitate and support regular security and application updates. Monitoring of applications to ensure infrastructure remains stable and appropriately resources to meet the requirements of the application. Deliver maintenance releases to all systems co-ordinating test plans, UAT cycles, defect management and resolution through to implementation.Provide support and analysis for various business and IT projects. Working as part of a team to facilitate initiatives and continuously improve our application and service offering. Collaboratively work with colleagues across IT to deliver larger projects impacting up and downstream systems.Desired: Application / Technology Knowledge - Market specific:

  • General Technology & Apps:Demonstratable understanding of APIs, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Delphi, .NET, Microsoft AZURE, TFS & JIRA.Competencies
  • The appropriate candidate should have excellent problem solving skills and a positive can do attitude when approaching complex and challenging work.
  • Working within a high performing team, learning from and sharing knowledge in order to achieve the right outcome.
  • Able to work independently to appropriately manage priorities and workload.
  • Understanding of our business structure and objectives in order to provide a first class level of service.
  • Operating and aligning to the companies cultural values ensuring that the candidate adopts these principles in there day to day work in order to better contribute towards IT and the companys strategic objectives.
  • Desirables
  • An understanding of AGILE and DevOps principles/methodologies are advantageous but not essential.
  • The candidate will however need to be open to working within a DevOps / AGILE environment.
  • The ability to remain focused and perform to a high standard in high pressure situations in order to restore service or deliver agreed outcomes into a stable product on time.
