BMS | Pathology| Band 5 | Cheam, Sutton | Full TimeSpire St Anthony’s Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join our well-established and friendly Pathology team, work within safe COVID pathways and benefit from our fully funded training programs and excellent IPC support.Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthonys Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London.Duties and responsibilitiesThe successful Biomedical Scientist will be expected to lead in a multidisciplinary role to include biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion with the expectation of taking part in the on-call rota. You will plan, analyse, assess and report pathology investigations, ensuring the pathology service are provided in an accurate, efficient and cost effective manner.The pathology department offers extensive in-house training and continual professional development opportunities. We are passionate about developing our staff in order for them to fulfil their potential.Who were looking for

  • Degree qualified, HNC Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent which would allow individual to be eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
  • Biomedical Scientist with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in helping to create innovative solution for new pathology services
  • Experience of working within a performance driven culture while maintaining safe standards
