Job Description

This is a rare chance to join a company that has gone from strength to strength through its product development and Senior Team over the past 7 years. With new offices to move into and an excellent working atmosphere of a friendly but busy and expanding business, committed to success, my client now needs a Stock Specialist who can help with their Stock Levels, Locations and ensuring the shipments and re-orders are done effectively. Although this position is part-time at 20 hours, flexibility can be offered and the hours increased. As this business is growing there may be a need with time to increase the hours.With an international supply chain that is growing this is perfect for a candidate who wants to grow with the business,Stock Control and Supply Chain experience is essential to build on.With products sold in over 15countries, supplied from over 10 stock locations worldwide the efficient planning and movement of stocks between these sites is a critical part of maximising thesales potential and is critical to supporting the rapid growth.Currently, there are3 partner manufacturing facilities including China and the EU.This role offers the opportunity to really shape and develop the businesss stock management systems, gaining fantastic exposure to all areas of the company and to really make a difference and contribute to its future success.The RoleYou will have full autonomy over the complete supply chain, from stock forecasting and planning with the manufacturing partners to ensurethere is enough stock in each stock location to meet demand. You will work alongside thedispatch manager, who physically dispatches stock from our warehouse, to ensure the supply side of the business runs smoothly and efficiently.Monitoring and Planning

  • Utilising historical sales and sales forecasts to plan stock production and distribution
  • Monitoring stock levels by location (including Amazon)
  • Using the company’s systems -like CIN7 and Inventory Planner -to create a forward view of stock requirements
  • Liaising with senior team to verify planning
  • Managing stock allocations to the company’s two main warehouses and satellite storage sites (up to nine Amazon locations)
  • Optimising stock levels to ensure forecast demand is met and overstocking is avoided (relate this to finance budgets)
  • Coordinate regular inventory audits
  • Confirm the accurate quantity and good condition of goods on arrival
  • Inbound Logistics
  • Management and control of in-bound logistics costs to maximise profit potential
  • Plan and co-ordinate packing of special bundle products (outside of factory production)
  • Track shipments and address any delays
  • Identify final delivered cost prices in all locations -including duties and freight
  • Outbound Logistics
  • Monitoring delivery costs and implementing cost reduction initiatives
  • Liaise with company carriers to obtain best service and prices
  • Streamlining procedures and systems for managing export documentation
  • Contribute to the product planning team by optimising product dimensions/weight to reduce handling and shipping costs
  • General Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventoryor similar role
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. Inventory Planner or similar)
  • Experience of active participation in inventory audits
  • Good understanding of budgets and finance
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Good communication abilities
  • This is a permanent role based between the company’s office and warehousing facility in Cheadle.The role is Part Time at 20 hours a week and working hours can be discussed to support the post-holders existing commitments and the post offers flexibility, The hours of the role will need to reassessed as the company grows as there may be a need for the role to increase in hours.Salary – up to £25k per annum FTE.
