Its what delivering great healthcare should feel like.What you will be doingAs a Senior Support Worker/Shift Coordinator you will be working within a team, which includes a range of professionals. You will make an effective contribution to providing high quality care within a learning disability service.You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolios.No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.You will have access to the Elysium Wellbeing team, which is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, massage or group activities. If you have the aspiration, capability and dedication, we can give you the support and opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.The site operates 24 hours 7 days a week, you will work 12 hour shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.Things that you will have* Good communication skills* Ability to work flexibility* Basic Literacy skills* Basic Knowledge of general learning difficulties and mental health issues* Common sense approach to problem solving.* Basic numeracy skillsWhere you will be workingLocation: The Woodhouse, Lockwood Road, Cheadle, Staffordshire ST10 4QUWorking alongside a multidisciplinary team, youll provide person-centered care for male and female patients with a learning disability/ autism or personality disorder. Gaining experience across low secure and locked rehabilitation environments to support better health and greater independence.Youll work in environments ranging from small village cottages, where independent living skills can be developed, to 8 bedded units that facilitate the development of daily living skills.
