Would you enjoy teaching wood machining and timber preparation to level 2/3, to motivated students, keen to learn Wood Working Machinery Trainer required to teach in a professional and disciplined military construction environment.£41K - £44K excellent benefits to include: 37 hour working week, 6 weeks holidays (plus bank hols), contributory pension, private healthcare, on-site gym / sports equipment, sick pay, cycle to work, on-going professional development and mental health support.This is a great opportunity to join a department of Trade Instructors, passing on wood machining skills to others.MKC Training have a long and very successful partnership contract with the Royal School of Military Engineering, providing a wide range of training.Wood Machining Trainer Essentials:· Level 3 or above Wood Machinist qualification· Level 2 or above in Site/Bench joinery· Teaching qualification or commitment to achieve recognised Level 5+ qualification e.g. DTLLS / PGCE / PGCHE within 3 years of contract commencement· Assessment Qualification (A1 or equivalent) or commitment to achieve one within 1 year of contract commencementExperience and Knowledge:· Teaching the relevant subject area· Experience in course development· Experience in mentoring new staff· Ability to motivate and encourage students· External/trade experience relevant to the subject area· Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Applications· Knowledge & experience of e-learning and e-assessment tools· Experience in course tutoring· Knowledge & experience of quality assurance & improvement· Knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation & requirements· Ability to promote safeguarding and welfare of children & young people that s/he is responsible for, or comes into contact with.MKC Training is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, all applications will be considered.
