* Progressive organisation* Growing Finance Function to Support Commercial PlansOTTO JAMES CONSULTING is supporting a Chadderton based Construction & Infrastructure specialist in their search for a talented Head of Commercial Finance.This role is a highly visible role where the successful qualified accountant will have exposure cross function with multiple stakeholders throughout the organisation and the JV partners, providing Budgeting, Forecasting, Bids & Tenders and KPIs to engagein a full value add function. The successful candidate will also manage and oversee a finance team of 8 (2 direct) in delivery of the organisations accounts.The RoleAs Head of Commercial Finance you will be positioned with a reporting line directly to the board, and will present on all aspects of finance, however due to the nature of the role, your day to day emphasis will be on adding value to commercial undertakings,leaving your Financial Controller to deliver on transactional finance. The position is targeted to help support the organisational growth through delivery of detailed commercial reporting and opportunities. You will be tasked with the creation of reporting matrixes which will be delivered to external clients, with the securingand devolving work.The roles key engagement areas will be:* Drive the efficient and timely delivery of financial information; namely with regards to projects i.e. Project costs, tracking project spend, margin evaluation - provide sound commercial advice in these areas to key stakeholders* Deliver control and process improvement within the lean finance function for greater automation, efficiency and delivery of cyclical financial reports i.e. Revenue forecasting, budgeting, accounts* Working closely with accounting services functions in other international entities to ensure full compliancy and technical competency* Evaluate the finance structure, suggesting and implementing changes for improvementThe successful qualified accountant will engage with internal stakeholders across the organisation and will therefore require excellent communication skills which can be used to demonstrate the commercial value of finance.Your ProfileThis is a challenging role that is best suited to a talented qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) accountant who can communicate at a high level, build relationships, develop processes, and understand the necessity of Finance in an internal and external stake-holdingfacing position. The successful candidate will need to have a can do attitude and be willing to "roll their sleeves" and get involved with the business.
