Reed in Partnership is a public service provider specialising in skills training for the long-term unemployed, increasing employment opportunities by working with employers and providing youth services.This role will specifically be working on our Ministry of Justice Activity Hubs programme, where we will support offenders immediately upon their release from custody on licence.What the job is aboutAn Activity Hub Manager leads a team, which includes, Support Workers, an Activity Co-Ordinator, and an Administrator in the provision of services to support programme participants who are serving a community sentence or on licence from prison. The aims of the programme are to increase engagement with mainstream services, address barriers to employment, training, and education; and encourage participation in activities to assist participants to lead law abiding lives.The role is responsible for managing the performance, productivity and wellbeing of this team and supports the team through observation, coaching and development to exceed their targets; resolving escalated complaints; ensuring the maintenance of key relationships with partners and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPI’s).The Hub manager will be responsible for the teams’ strict adherence to quality targets and guidelines in accordance with the programme obligations and Reed in Partnership process.Hub Management:The Activity Hub Manager takes the lead on establishing and maintaining a rehabilitative culture within the hub. Ensuring it is a genuinely welcoming, engaging, and safe environment for all participants and staff.People motivation, coaching and development:The Activity Hub Manager ensures the smooth running and productive dynamics of the team by acting as a lynchpin between all key roles involved in the participant journey towards desisting from offending.Performance Management and delivery:The Activity Hub Manager manages the team to focus on all elements of the participant journey, identifying and overcoming blocks, obstacle, or inefficiencies in the process through observation and analysis, ensuring that performance targets are exceeded.External relationships and stakeholder management:The Activity Hub Manager ensures that their team maintains constructive and effective internal relationships with other functions and departments and a positive set of relationships with fund holders, referral sources, partner organisations and political stakeholders in the wider community.Finance and facilities:The Activity Hub Manager is responsible for ensuring the financial resources and facilities of their sites are maintained in good order.Quality and continuous improvement:The Activity Hub Manager contributes constructively to the overall development of our service delivery, suggesting and making improvements continually to enhance productivity, the customer service experience and the quality of our claims and customer outcomes.Safeguarding & Risk ManagementThe Activity Hub Manager will be the Designated Safeguarding Person (DSP) for the services falling within their responsibilities.
