Job Description

Senior Ecologist ConsultantMy client, a market leading Ecological, Landscape & Arboricultural Consultancy, is seeking a talented Senior Ecologist to join the team.The successful candidate will be friendly, fun and hardworking and will lead on a wide range of projects, mainly both small and large-scale residential development projects. This excellent opportunity offers a balance of field and office work where you will collaborate amongst a supportive team across the Castleford area.The Role:This exciting role offers you the chance to work with a supportive and experienced team. You will ideally have project management and field experience, with the vast majority of the work being completed in the local area.The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 1 Protected Species licence, ideally Bats or GCN
  • Associate membership of CIEEM
  • Excellent analysis and report writing skills
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Professional, enthusiastic with a positive personality - happy to engage with clients and colleagues alike.
  • A pragmatic and common-sense approach to project management and the ability to liaise with the Senior ecologist and Team leader to deliver successful project outcomes
    • Key Skills:The successful candidate will:
  • Hold a degree in a relevant discipline
  • Have good experience in project managing
  • Have experience with protected species (1-2 licences are ideal)
