Job Description

Print Finisher / Machine Operator - Packaging & LabelsLocation: West YorkshireSalary: DOECompany: A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels manufacturer.Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a machine operator to join a leading organisation in Leeds.You will work within a press team and be responsible for completing the finishing of the master reel to clients specifications.The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the finished product is examined to meet standard and specific customer requirements.Working as part of a line team to ensure a quality service is provided to both internal and external customers. Further to this you will work with other members of the line team to maintain maximum efficiency of the line at all times.

  • Read and understand dockets and CMS to obtain relevant information
  • Complete all relevant paperwork
  • Set machine for product examination following customer specification
  • Complete final inspection
  • Reporting any quality shortfalls / quality issues
  • Identify finished reels and finish to customer specification
  • Complete line clear out
  • Understand the Company Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Policies in
  • relation to the relevant standards (specifically BS EN ISO 9001: 2015) and actively promote these within the business
Requirements:
  • Experience working within a packaging and/or self-adhesive labels manufacturer - preferable
  • Experience in rewinding / inspection - training to be given to the right candidate
  • Print experience - ideally flexo / litho / gravure / offset etc.
  • QC / inspection experience
  • Graduate or trainee will be considered
  • Team player
  • Ability to work well in a high pressure environment
  • Strong communication skills
