Job Description

Print Assistant / Pre-Press - Packaging & LabelsLocation: West YorkshireSalary: DOECompany: A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels manufacturer.Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a print assistant / pre-press support to join a leading organisation in West Yorkshire.You will work within a press team and be responsible for assisting the production department. The successful candidate will be a team player, hardworking with a high level of dexterity due to the physical demands of the role. A positive professional approachwith good attention to detail.

  • Maintain highest possible standards at all times
  • Control of hazardous liquids, inks & solvents
  • Assist with operating machinery
  • Loading and off-loading reels
  • Washing up of dirty machine parts
  • Maintaining general housekeeping duties within area
  • Assist in full job strip out and reallocation
  • Job allocation to press including final sign off
  • Full line support in the assistance in changing the press over
  • Ensure all lines are prepared in all aspects to assist in achieving daily/weekly plan
  • Actively seek process improvements and cost savings initiatives throughout the business
Requirements:
  • Experience working within a packaging and/or self-adhesive labels manufacturer - preferable
  • Experience within pre-press / print assistant roles
  • Print experience - ideally flexo / litho / gravure / offset
  • Will consider graduates or trainees
  • Team player
  • Ability to work well in a high pressure environment
  • Strong communication skills
