Job Description

Take overall accountability for IT Management, supporting a small group of users with hardware support while implementing changes to ensure effective cyber security, data protection as well as delivering a strong IT roadmap to help guide the business through significant growth.Client DetailsOur client is a UK based/owned manufacturing business that has seen significant growth and investment recently, allowing the company to continue their growth to a £70m business and increase headcount from 300 - 400 staff.DescriptionWhat youll be doing:Youll work closely with senior leaders within this manufacturing business and take overall accountability for IT Management, supporting a small group of users with hardware support while implementing changes to ensure effective cyber security, data protection as well as a strong IT roadmap to ensure a the company put technology first as they grow from 300 to 400 employees.Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior stakeholders with an internal audit of their current IT and put together a strategic IT roadmap to achieve key business goals.
  • Take ownership of overall IT Management across the business.
  • Provide hardware support (PCs, Printers etc.) to 25+ users.
  • Manage all internal hardware purchasing and support when needed.
  • Take responsibility for all internal systems, managing effective upgrades and implementations
  • Implement effective remote working capabilities (Citrix, O365 etc)
  • Implement cyber security essentials and manage overall IT security for the business.
  • Oversee any data protection and GDPR issues.
  • Manage 3rd party relationship effectively
  • Play a key role in the adoption of IT across the business and guide them towards becoming and technology focused company.
    • ProfileKey Skills & Experience:
  • Solid IT general management skills (organisational, operational and financial management).
  • Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users.
  • Experience providing hardware support to end users, resolving technical issues.
  • Working knowledge of current IT trends and best practice IT Frameworks.
  • A strong working knowledge and understanding of computer systems, applications and operating systems.
  • Ability to think strategically and plan over time.
  • Establish relationships with technology vendors.
  • Implements an IT budget for the organisation as a whole or for specific departments.
  • Experience in an IT Management role.
  • Ability to articulate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the various database models and how to cross reference data from different platforms.
  • Knowledge of SAP would also be a benefit.
