Job Description

HR Generalist - Maternity Contract Salary: £31,000 - £38,000Location: CastlefordOur client is looking for an HR Genralist to join their growing HR Team. The business has around 300 employees and have strong expansion plans. The role will be reporting into the HR BP and be a varied generalist HR role to cover maternity leave but there ispotential for this role to go permament.As HR Generalist you will be involved in organisational design and development, talent and management development, employee relations, employee legislation, employee engagement and communications and employee development and performance management.We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a HR Advisor, CIPD qualified to level 5 and ability to work independently.Duties will include:

  • Providing support to managers with regards to HR issues and people management
  • Developing HR Policies and processes
  • Supporting with recruitment processes
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies, ensuring best candidate selection
  • Monitoring HR policies and practices across the business
  • Onboarding and offboarding new starters/ leavers
  • Administer contract information and managing the HR system
  • Providing key insights and dashboards
  • Working with external ER Consultants to support on ER issues
  • Building strong relationships with managers across the business
Requirements for the role:
  • Previous experience working in a generalist HR role
  • CIPD Qualified Level 5
  • Legal HR knowledge
  • Good knowledge of GDPR
  • Works with a high level of autonomy and is comfortable in the absence of direction
