Job Description

Our client is leading the change in plastic recycling. They supply recycled plastic materials to a range of industries including construction, packaging, automotive and horticulture, making them one of Europes largest plastic recycling companies.They are currently seeking to appoint an experienced electrical engineer whose role will be primarily to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering maintenanceResponsibilities

  • The role holder will provide first line response to all plant breakdowns. They will deliver and implement robust solutions to ensure equipment is safely brought back into a productive state.
  • In addition, they will provide first line maintenance support to production, facilitating fault diagnosis to root cause on all plant and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Whilst plant is operational, proactively monitor the equipment performance, investigating abnormal running conditions, attempting to predict failures or issues which may cause downtime and then planning in interventions to remedy these.
DUTIES INCLUDE: Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response and thatplant equipment and machinery breakdown time are minimised. Endeavouring toreduce downtime of site plant and machinery. Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently,either alone and/or as part of a teamTHE PERSON
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within electrical/mechanical engineering (ideally time served but will consider knowledge by experience)
  • Have a proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
  • Preferably experienced with PLC, Variable Speed Drives, temperature Controllers and HMIs
  • Carry Out Small Works Improvement projects
  • Be involved with New Equipment installations and Start Ups
  • Provide clear information to support the ordering of spare parts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to be flexible with start/finish times so they are in line with the production
requirements.
  • A busy and at times demanding environment therefore the incumbent may need to
work extra hours to ensure that both the business and customer needs are met.
  • Able to work 12-hour shift patterns either days or nights and weekends.
