Role SummaryNetwork Construction Services are currently seeking an experienced, highly competent, dynamic and proven Bid Proposals Coordinator within our client’s Regional Preconstruction team to operate within the Yorkshire and North East region.The successful candidate will ultimately take responsibility for understanding, writing, editing and producing (bespoke or tailored) construction specific responses for framework and tender submissions as part of a £100m turnover regional business working across a variety of market sectors. They will work alongside the Preconstruction Submissions Manager, Bid Managers and the Graphics team and have responsibility for making sure final submissions are consistent, engaging and to the highest standard possible to achieve agreed work winning targets.The role by its very nature is subject to tight immovable deadlines requiring a high degree of coordination, planning, multi-tasking and time management. The ability to produce project specific, evidence based, highly professional and persuasive responses either stand alone or as part of a bid team is vital.Responsibilities· Responsible and accountable for the production of designated bid related qualitative responses;· Writing, editing and proofing bid submission responses using persuasive and positive language;· Reading and understanding framework or tender submission documents;· Research and write highly specific responses which generally are technical / construction based and client focused in nature;· Identify areas where written text can be converted into tables or graphics;· A collaborative worker, able to operate as part of a bid team or individually;· Being able to communicate effectively with other staff involved with the bid;· Able to work to tight deadlines whilst producing the highest standard of work;· Willing to interact with the team and offer suggestions, innovation and ways to continuously drive improvement;· Continual/ weekly checking/ challenging of the bid process/ progress with the whole bid team - ensuring best practice and deadlines are maintained;· Fully understand the importance of being "client centric" and being able to demonstrate this through the written responses;· Understand and align bid strategy with key stakeholders, client drivers and customer needs· Carry out research (web based or otherwise) on clients and projects to aid and tailor the written responses;· Attend site visits if necessary to aid responses;· Feed into tender deliverables, proposals writing plan and dates required by bid team (with Bid Manager)· Contribute/ coordinate mid bid or red team reviews;· Liaison with Business Development for key bid intelligence and win themes;· Ensure tender submission document is submitted/delivered on time;· Capturing, collating and evidencing best practice to be utilised in bid submissions;· Ensure bid feedback and debriefs are collated, analysed and fed back into future tenders;· Assist in post tender interviews and presentations where necessary;Knowledge, skills & experience· Bid writing qualifications / training;· English language / English literature;· Strong evidenced backed experience of writing, editing and overseeing high quality persuasive tender and framework submissions within construction· Able to abstract technical notes or a verbal response from others into compelling narrative· Proven experience of working in a similar role (preferably for a Tier 1 construction business)· Framework submission experience and understanding of construction procurement processes (desirable but not essential);· Able to work to deadlines;· Able to work as part of a team or individually;· Client focused culture;· Excellent IT skills (essential) and proficient in using MS office, bid writing and graphic software such as InDesign (essential);· Full Driving Licence (desirable)All above attributes are ESSENTIAL unless otherwise stated.Person Specification· Exceptionally well organised;· Meticulous, with attention to detail;· Ability to coordinate/ manage the input of others;· Innovative/ creative;· Flexible;· Good communicator;· Self-motivated.· A wordsmith Required skills
