Job Description

Role: Purchase Ledger ClerkSalary: Up to £27,000Benefits: 23 days holiday + 8 Bank holidaysLocation: Castle DoningtonType: PermanentOverview2Fawcett are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a company located in Castle Donington on a Permanent Basis.Working for this global manufacturer with over half a century of experience they are a market leader in their industry! Reporting directly into the finance manager you will be working for a very well-respected employer within a well established team.As the purchase ledger clerk you will support with the management accounts and month end.The Role & Responsibilities of Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Posting purchase invoices and staff expenses
  • Code and check invoices
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements
  • File invoices and statements
  • Deal with purchase enquiries
  • Send reminder deadline for payment run
  • Prepare payment run report
  • Send remittance advice to supplier
  • Verify supplier/customer/employee master
Management account support
  • Posting prepayment & accrual
  • Take a full ownership of accounting tasks and complete day to day financial transactions as well as the month end close tasks, including review and post prepayments/accruals, fixed assets, stock, review balance sheet, PL & BS analysis, all relevant adjustments,preparation of month reports for two departments
Requirements of Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational skills and be able to manage a busy workload independently
  • Highly competent in analysis and interpretation of information.
  • Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy
  • Experience of within a similar role
  • AAT qualified or currently studying
