Job Description

Project Manager (Full Vehicle - Chassis,Powertrain& Electrical Systems)£HighlyCompetitive Plus BenefitsLocation: East MidlandsFull Vehicle Development, Design, Innovations, Engineering, Programmes, Development, Production, Delivery, Integration, Man-Management, Leadership, Problem-solverWant to work for one of the most iconic and exciting British motoring brands, driving engineering excellence across their range of products We are looking for an experienced and innovative Engineering Manager to help grow the product range and the design and engineering capability in the UK following a significant recent investment in the business.You will need to have experience of managing and delivering multiple programmes leading all timing plans, gateways, and budgets liaising with the parent company to report on project deliverables and issues. You will be responsible for working closely with Engineering and other cross functional teams to establish project position, resolving any key issues through effective leadership to ensure the new vehicle development programmes are delivered on time.We are seeking people with strong understanding of the automotive, motorsport and/or motorcycle industry having been involved with managing all project deliverables within a new product development environment, having the ability to deal with parent companies based in Asian.The role will have responsibility for all aspects of Project Management from concept to production, across a wide range of programmes and will also:

  • Manage all Project/Programme deliverables adhering to required processes and procedures
  • Work with cross functional teams to understand challenges within the programme and inhibitors that will impact timing plans and financial constraints
  • Liaise with the parent company to free up the Engineering Team with all project and programme activities and communication to ensure all parties are aware of project status and any concerns that may need addressing
  • Pro-actively support the teams from concept through all design, development and test stages onto production to keep projects on track which will require a degree of technical understanding within vehicle programmes (preferably within the motorcycle arena)
    • This is a challenging and exciting role and we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate that they have the ability and passion to:
  • Keep programmes on track within stringent timing and budgetary constraints
  • Understand engineering and technical environment supporting new vehicle and product development from concept and styling through engineering and into production
  • Maintain regular communication and updates to the Senior Management Team in the UK and Asian to ensure project deliverables are being achieved
  • Make critical decisions quickly and robustly to make sure issues and programme delays are resolved
  • Ensure adherence to processes and procedures whilst not stifling creativity
  • Constructively challenge the statusquo
