Job Description

Are you an experienced salesperson from the freight industry Have you sold multimodal services Do you have a solid book of businessAs well as having your own contacts, youll be expected to prospect for new clients via networking, cold calling and other avenues. Its a strategic sales role where you need to be able to walk the walk as well as talking the talk!Please only apply for this role if you have sold air, ocean and road freight services.What you get:

About you:
  • It is essential that you have experience as a Business Develpment Manager or Sales in multimodal freight services.
  • You must have a rounded knowledge of all modes of transportation - air, road and sea - and be able to sell these services with ease.
  • Naturally youll be a sales-seeker and thoroughly enjoy business development from cold leads through to relationship management; that being said, to hit the ground running, youll have a relevant book of business to bring with you to give you a good headstart!
  • Youll be commutable to Castle Donington, East Midlands.
The Job:
  • Youll join as BDM for the Midlands.
  • A natural hunter, youll be responsible for generating your own leads for new business and essentially, making that business happen.
  • You will book appointments with prospects and attend meetings face to face and virtually.
  • Youll be a key player in the sales team and as such, will be involved in development and implementation of new services.
