Do you have a background of supporting vulnerable people or signposting them to services Are you empathetic, fair and impartial Are you able to have complex conversations and take the appropriate course of action If yes, then our client, based near Cardiffwould like to hear from you.Duties:- To provide specialist financial financial assistance on the phone, via webchat and email to vulnerable groups with a mental and or physical health condition or incapacity such as people with learning disabilities, the bereaved and the terminally ill.- Advise customers on the best tariff for their needs- Manage customer applications for financial support by assessing eligibility and keeping them informed- Ensure customers have the mental capacity to make decisions- Signpost customers to additional support services and manage referrals from other departments and third partiesExperience:- Previous experience of supporting vulnerable groups either financially or in other ways such as signposting to other support organisations is essential- Able to remain impartial; considers the circumstances and is empathetic, reasonable and fair;- Can identify areas of customer vulnerability and takes appropriate action for the best outcome- Significant experience in having complex and difficult conversations including emergency situations, and customer referrals to other agencies.- Ideally a good understanding of the DWPs Benefit SchemeBenefits:Salary: £25k - £28k33 days holidayEnhanced pension contributionsThis is an excellent opportunity to work within the head office of a Welsh company which has many opportunities for progression across all functions.To apply send an updated cv for the attention of Gurbax BajwaPlease note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a persons gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
