Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists within our Volkswagen dealership at Cardiff, for a Sales Manager to join the sales team, and provide support to the General Sales Manager in running the sales department.Job Title: Sales ManagerLocation: Sinclair Volkswagen CardiffContract Type: Permanent/Full-timeHours of work: 5 days out of 7 on a rota (working every other weekend plus one day off in the week)Position Pays: CompetitiveThe OpportunityAn exciting opportunity exists within our Volkswagen dealership at Cardiff, for a Sales Manager to join the sales team, and provide support to the General Sales Manager in running the sales department.Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all sales enquiries are dealt with efficiently and professionally
  • Analysis of departmental profit on a daily basis, ensuring costs are contained and reduced.
  • Management of the sales team and sales processes
  • Management and control of profit margins
  • Management and control of stock pricing and presentation
  • To maximise the sales and profitability of vehicles and associated products
  • To work effectively with the other departments to provide an excellent customer experience
  • To monitor and achieve KPI targets
  • To assist the General Sales Manager in maintaining policy and procedure
  • To recognize that teamwork is key and to coach and develop Sales Executives to excel in their role
  • Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the manufacturers and external suppliers
  • Ensure the sales team deliver professional customer service at all times
  • Able to market and think outside the box to increase new and used car sales
More About you:As our ideal Sales Manager, you will ideally have experience as a Sales Manager/Business Manager within the motor trade, or an alternative industry but be able to demonstrate key customer handling, managerial and organisational skills. You will also requirethe following skills and experience:
  • Good understanding of both new and used vehicle sales.
  • Experience of managing a large, successful sales team.
  • Must have an appetite for generating sales
  • Current UK Driving License
