Job Description

Vehicle Technician / MOT TesterCardiff, CF11Manufacturer-owned dealershipMon – Fri 8:30am to 5pm1-in-4 Sat mornings on rota 8am to 12pm£24,830 pa + overtime + bonus, OTE £29,000 - £30,830 pa.Renault Cardiff seeks a Vehicle Technician to join our dealership’s workshop. Subject to notice periods and Government guidance, we expect a start date for this role to be in March 2021.The role involves carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs of cars and vans to the highest standards whilst maintaining optimal efficiencies and first time fix.Candidates should have

  • own tools
  • Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQs in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualifications, and
  • a full UK Driver’s licence
    • Candidates should preferably have main dealer workshop experience and individuals that also have current DVSA Certification for MOT Testing will be prioritised. Uniform and PPE will be provided to the successful applicant.The core hours for this job are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with ½ hr lunch, plus 1-in-4 Saturday mornings on rota, 8am to 12pm.In return we offer a £24,830 pa basic salary. This comprises £24,000 pa for weekday work + £830 pa for 1-in-4 Saturday mornings. Uncapped monthly bonuses are paid on top of this which add circa £5,000-£6,000 pa to your earnings. Additional Saturday overtime beyond the core 1-in-4 is available on request and paid at time-and-a-half.
