Job Description

Unity Developer - Full Remote Working - £50,000 - £60,000Role: Unity Developer - Full Remote WorkingField: Marine Technology/Radar Technology/Surveillance/Applications Development /Software Development/C# , /REST API , JIRA, UnityReporting to: Lead DeveloperSalary: £50,000 - £60,000Benefits include: Starting Holiday Allowance of 25 days, plus bank holidays, Christmas period off, Pension Scheme up to 10%, Life Assurance, Healthcare, Income ProtectionA leading radar and navigation specialist are looking to recruit an experienced Unity Developer on a fully remote opportunity.The Role:You would be part of medium sized team where you willbe liaising with the Architecture Team, Test Team, Project Managers and Product Managers to help to define and implement world class operations and engineering practices to deliver stable, scalable, andsecure platforms.Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse the high-level design output from technical elaborations and user stories as presented by the Senior Developer
  • Contribute to low level design workshops - discussing the agreed design pattern principles, understanding the principles and adhering to the principle
  • Assist Senior Developer to create the low-level design and other associated documents
  • Provide estimations for broken down development and test tasks
  • Scope out testing requirements and plan for current sprint
  • Develop user stories as described by product management or the architecture team ensuring adherence to agreed acceptance criteria and technical requirements
  • Attend and contribute to feature show-and-tell sessions
  • Attend the daily Scrum team stand-up and report progress on your current work raising any blocking issues
  • Collaborate with team members and assist with tasks where necessary to manage the workload effectively within the teams goals
  • Perform peer code reviews - to confirm adherence to coding standards
Requirements:
  • 2D/3D Unity development in C# on Windows platforms
  • At least 5 years C# development experience with at least 3 years in an Unity environment
  • Experience integrating sensor feeds into Unity, including video and audio streaming
  • Implementing end-to-end solution from design/architecture
  • Have good Experience in C#, Unity, Windows development, REST APIs, Web Sockets, 2D and 3D visualisation, Git version control, JIRA, BitBucket, Visual Studio
  • REST API Design, and implementation
  • Demonstrable ability of improving quality
  • 3 years of Agile experience, preferably Scrum
  • Experience in software verification and validation including functional, scenario, usability, stress, performance- and automated testing
